About Hanyang University
Hanyang University's history dates back to 1939 when the university established the nation's first engineering institute. Hanyang has a total of 24 colleges and 100 departments in its Seoul Campus and ERICA Campus. Hanyang welcomes over 7,400 foreign students each year and more than 3,000 students study abroad annually.
About Hanyang University International Summer School (HISS)
HISS offers a 4-week face-to-face program in different fields of studies, e.g. business, science, engineering, design, social science, Korean studies, sport, public health, mathematics, communication, media, international studies etc.

Fees

Eligibility
HKUST students must apply through the Office of Global Learning. Individual direct application to the host institution will not be accepted. You are eligible to apply for the program if you:

Visa Information
Students may require obtaining a visa to participate in this program depending on your nationality.
With reference to the information given by the Consulate General, students who attend a credit-bearing summer/winter school program should apply for D-2-8 visa. Therefore, we strongly advise students to apply for D-2-8 type visa, even though some host institutions would also recommend students to apply for C-3-1 type.
To check whether or not you need a visa for your participation in this summer program, please contact the nearest Korean Embassy or Consulate Office or visit the website of Ministry of Justice Korea Immigration Service for information. Health Insurance
All students must have international health insurance that covers possible injury and medical treatment during the program. You can also check HISS's website for more information by clicking HERE.
HKUST students who take part in the University's study abroad programs will be covered by the University's Travel Insurance Plan. To apply for an insurance certificate, please CLICK HERE.
Accommodation
HKUST students must stay in one of the accommodation options offered by the host institution (if applicable). If you choose not to stay in any of them, you must obtain a pre-approval from HKUST by emailing OGL at study.abroad@ust.hk.
