About University of Glasgow
The University of Glasgow (UoG) was established in 1451, making it the fourth oldest university in the UK. Scotland’s first female medical graduates completed their degrees at UoG in 1894 and the world’s first ultrasound images of a foetus were published by Glasgow Professor Ian Donald in 1958. Many influential figures have worked and studied at the University of Glasgow from the father of economics, Adam Smith, to the pioneer of television, John Logie Baird.
The university campus is surrounded by museums, galleries and parks and is located at the heart of the city's fashionable West End, home to cafés and bars hidden down cobbled lanes, world-famous restaurants and comedy clubs blended with a mix of boutique shops and Victorian architecture.
About International Summer School
UoG International Summer School offers a modern learning environment in one of the world's friendliest cities, where students can study in an international setting, gain credits and immerse themselves in Scottish culture. Glasgow’s ISS is also an opportunity to explore a particular topic in more depth and to experience teaching from world-class academic staff.
