About KU International Summer Campus (KUISC)
KUISC offers 4-week and 6-week program for students to take credit-bearing courses in different focuses, such as Business and Economics, Humanities, Social Science, Engineering and Science, Law Politics and International Relations, Korean Studies and Korean Language.
HKUST-nominated exchange students: MUST take at least 2 courses in face-to-face mode only and will enjoy tuition fee waiver
HKUST-nominated partnership students: MUST take course(s) in face-to-face mode only

Eligibility
HKUST students must apply through the Office of Global Learning. Individual direct application to the host institution will not be accepted. You are eligible to apply for the program if you:

Visa Information
Students may require obtaining a visa to participate in this program depending on your nationality.
With reference to the information given by the Consulate General, students who attend a credit-bearing summer/winter school program should apply for D-2-8 visa. Therefore, we strongly advise students to apply for D-2-8 type visa, even though some host institutions would also recommend students to apply for C-3-1 type.
To check whether or not you need a visa for your participation in this summer program, please contact the nearest Korean Embassy or Consulate Office or visit the website of Ministry of Justice Korea Immigration Service for information.

Health Insurance
Student MUST purchase their insurance before coming to Korea. Purchasing insurance is not necessary for Korean citizens covered by national health insurance.
HKUST students who take part in the University's study abroad programs will be covered by the University's Travel Insurance Plan. To apply for an insurance certificate, please CLICK HERE.
Accommodation
HKUST students must stay in one of the accommodation options offered by the host institution (if applicable). If you choose not to stay in any of them, you must obtain a pre-approval from HKUST by emailing OGL at study.abroad@ust.hk.
